Wechter · Renaissance Ornamental Tankard — 19th‑Century German Engraving (Les Maîtres Ornemanistes)

This 19th‑century copperplate engraving reproduces a richly detailed Renaissance ornamental tankard from the 1579 Wechter Goblet tradition. The original design reflects the sculptural metalwork and elaborate decorative vocabulary of the German Renaissance, where vessels often served as both functional objects and showcases of artistic craftsmanship.
